Stephanie Nasson, Sam McDonald This Week's "Warrior of the Week" Award Winners

King Philip's boys basketball player Sam McDonald was named a "Warrior of the Week" winner
for the week of January 23, 2012. Sam let the team to a victory over Canton by scoring 18 points while hitting four three-point shots from the field.
On the girl's side, Stephanie Nasson was this week's winner as a member of the swim team. Stephanie is leading the team in first place finishes and helped the team defeat North Attleboro recently for the first time in the history of the King Philip program.
This weekly award is given to a King Philip athlete who demonstrates good sportsmanship, leadership, dedication, perseverance, and a good work ethic. A great performance on the field helps too! Coaches nominate an athlete and the lucky winner receives a Warrior Pride t-shirt and a recognition plaque.

King Philip Girls Softball Team Repeats as State Champions

The King Philip girls softball team wrapped up a perfect season with an 1-0 win over Amherst in June,
2011. The Warriors finished 26-0, anchored by the pitching prowess of Meg Rico and the timely hitting of Megan Carnase.

King Philip Boys Basketball Team Enjoys Playoff Run

The King Philip boys basketball team enjoyed an exception playoff run in March. The team beat Walpole and Wellesley before bowing to Hopkinton in the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional Tournament title game.

Organizers for King Philip Athletic Field Complex Launch New Web Site
|

Organizers hoping to raise $1.0 million in funds for the King Philip Community Athletic Field Complex launched a new web site recently. The site will be used to monitor their fundraising progress and keep citizens informed of their efforts to make the complex a reality. Part of the complex will be a new, all-weather low maintenance athletic field to replace the existing turf field. The new field will be used by
various teams and organizations at King Philip.
