King Philip Womens Softball Team Captures State Title With 10-1 Victory Over Milford

The King Philip women's softball team avenged their only loss of the 2010 season with a 10-1 win over Milford recently. This win gave the Warriors the state championship while handing Milford it's first and only loss of the season. For more comprehensive information on the state championship game, click here.

King Philip Boosters Awards Six Scholarships to Recent Graduates

The King Philip Boosters recently awarding six (6)scholarships to six (6)lucky graduates of the King Philip High School Class of 2010. Four (4)of these were King Philip Sports Booster Club Scholarships and two (2) were King Philip Sport Booster Club Citizenship Awards.

The winners of the KP Booster Citizenship awards were Adam Bennett and Kelsey Reiger. The winners of the KP Sports Boosters awards were Janessa Barrett, Hillary Bushway, Caleb Fields and Connor Richards. Congratulations!

King Philip Marching Band Captures National Championship in Annapolis

The King Philip Marching Band, "The Pride and the Passion", captured the United States Scholastic Band Association's 2009 national championship in Group IV recently in Annapolis, MD. King Philip edged the Absegami High School Marching Braves(New Jersey) with a score of 97.45 out of 100. The band was treated to a police escort as they arrived home to a throng of well-wishers at the King Philip High School. Their 2009 show was titled "The Rite of Poe", featuring Igor Stravinsky's music, "The Rite of Spring". If you have not seen their show, there is one more opportunity. The band will be playing at the Thanksgiving Day footbal game at Franklin.

King Philip Football Team Featured on Fox 25 High School Friday Program in Win over Bellingham

The King Philip football team was featured on Fox 25's High School Friday program on Friday, September 18, 2009. James Johnston was named the Player of the Game as the Warriors improved to 2-0 for the season.  Next up, the Warriors will take on Sharon at King Philip High School on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 7:00 PM.

Organizers for King Philip Athletic Field Complex Launch New Web Site

Organizers hoping to raise $1.0 million in funds for the King Philip Community Athletic Field Complex launched a new web site recently. The site will be used to monitor their fundraising progress and keep citizens informed of their efforts to make the complex a reality. Part of the complex will be a new, all-weather low maintenance athletic field to replace the existing turf field. The new field will be used by various teams and organizations at King Philip.
